2004: The Year in Pies

I don’t know…this thread seems too wildly uncontrollable with intense laughter. I’d better lock it now before it spreads!

Just kidding. Sweet mother of Bork, Prof, that’s one hell of a pie hall of fame and about 1/4 of them I don’t remember seeing before. In any case, my favorite and most “LOL” pie would have to be “What Operating System do you use?” followed by “What is SydeX doing right now?”. Good times were the days of pies and hopefully more good ones to come!

I actually lose it at the SydeX pies. I just burst out laughing.  I started that post when giving a final this morning, and just let out this huge roar.  It scared the class to death.

A little history…

For whatever reason we were arguing states and coolness factor on the IMG forum. Mav professed how cool Texas was and bashed any other state around. Walter and I scoffed at his proclamation and I devised a little graphic to make fun of Mav. While this wasn’t a pie chart, this was the first graph to be posted at IMG (the date created Feb 18, 04). Little did I realize my graphic would spawn a war of bar graphs then pie charts. So I’m at some root to blame. I think Johan mighta been the first to post a pie chart.

Also I’m to blame for the “Hefty” Mav nickname and a few other IMG nicknames, rather ironic as I’m not a big chatter. No I don’t hate Mav but he’s the one who provided the inspiration.

I too have made pathetic attempts to reach Joel’s pie-provess. This one, I believe, was made during Joel’s crazy abscence of crazyness.

Oh, here’s another of Joel’s that I commisioned for a forum I used to admin which died and then for some strange reason got occupied by stupid Australians.
