Just say no thanks, I’d rather have some good speakers:

I feel like that article was Greg yelling at me for buying the wrong speakers.

I have a coworker who is just nuts about BOSE systems… I’m afraid sharing this article with him would crush his poor spirit.

So I think I’ll do it anyway.

For what do you plan to use them? In what environment? And connected to what?

Computer/iPod use. Fairly quiet environment, so no need for noise cancelling/closed back etc.

Anyone stupid enough to spend that much money on speakers is an idiot, therefore deserves all they get.

And this is coming from not only me, but everyone at SAE too - people who know these things. I spent £200 and my speakers and don’t regret it. I would never spend £2,000.

Not to rag on you Benny but $1300 isn’t exactly a lot of money to drop on a set of 6 speakers…. if you were getting full range mains and a real center channel.

Now if you’re stupid enough to buy Bose maybe so but really when speakers easily run upwards of $4000 on pair not including any receiver/amping its not even near unreasonable.

Anyhow, always beautiful to see Bose being smacked around in a review. I was enjoying that too much.

Me too…

It’s hard to convince people, even when you are in the business, but every time I hear the Bose I just shudder…

Senheisser make a pretty good range of headphones btw.  smile
