The Great War series by Harry Turtledove

Of course, I have The Nation next to the crapper, because reading about current American policy makes me shit.

Hmm, let’s look at the old coffe table and see what I’m currently hacking through ... Gwynne Dyer’s “Future Tense”; Robert Hobbs “Milton Avery: The Late Paintings”; Linda McQuaig “It’s the Crude, Dude”; the latest issue of Mother Jones; and Jack Layton’s “Speaking Out: Ideas That Work for Canadians”.

Books I know I’m getting for Yule that will soon be unwrapped are on Winston Churchill’s paintings and one on sculptor Alberto Giacometti.

Re-reading The Principles of Art by R.G. Collingwood. It’s an oldie, but a goodie (and one non-philosophy majors can get into as well).

Next on my list: re-reading Last Chance to See by Douglas Adams. Until I read this, the first Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was my favourite of his books—now it’s my second-favourite.

It’s worth looking for, I’m enjoying these immensely.

Guns of the South is also a good read. A friend recently introduced me to his books, and I’m having a ball reading them. The World War series is both hokey and entertaining.

I shall shortly be reading “The Cult of Mac” by Leander Kahney. My parents bought it today because I asked them for it.

Without a doubt, Adams’s best book.

Right now I’m reading Eye of the World by Robert Jordan… because I was bored right before christmas and wanted to read something…

...I can almost forgive me to punishing myself for starting to read the Wheel of Time again…. but only if Jordan releases the last books soon.

Just finished Nylon Angel. Good book. Recommend it.

I’m now trying to decide what to read next… the next Parrish Plessis novel ‘code noir’ or the alan clark diaries.

I’m also waiting for my copy of Digital Moviemaking, by Scott Billups to be flown in from the USA, so I can start studying for the degree.

I’m reading 1984 for school right now. I’ve wanted to read it for a while, just never had the chance nor remembered whenever I was at the library.

The Da Vinci Code is a fun read, as three quarters of the world have attested. My mom works at a book store, so I got to read it before anyone else. Ph34r.
