As you most probably can guess, Disciples of Bork is not yet complete. We’re working on our own unique and completely partly stolen layout for the forums.
Once we feel we have a layout we’re confident with, we will start to spread the word for real. Feel free to invite people here before that as well, but don’t post about it in any forums or anything yet.
Right now the Solaris style by Jakob Persson (which looks darn good, and is what we’re not completely stealing) is busted in some way, so if you choose to select that, you won’t be able to post new topics. We’re trying to work that error out (well, Kevin is, I can’t takle credit for thing I don’t do), while Ross is trying to customize it, or rather Borkify it.
As some of you hopefully can see, Solaris is now working as it iss supposed to. If you have changed style in your profile, it’s now safe to change it back. It has been turned on as default style until we have a borkified version of it up.

If we are to have a front page, we need to have a purpose for it. So far the site is only the forum. But would we merge it with IMG Insanity. That would easily be the front page. But just adding a front page for the sake of being able to post on it seems like a waste.
But I’m glad to accept your helps and ideas. The Idea of DoB is now just over 24 hours, so we’re still on a planning stage…. even if it has a working page already.
Since there is talk of logos and such, and Whale is the börkmeister - what ideas or concepts should the logo communicate?
I know where the borking came from, (oh yes, I was there for the original bork if I remember correctly) so now I’m trying to visually resolve that with gaming and such.
My first idea is funny as hell, but might not be terribly appropriate.
Since Bork is your Alpha and your Omega, there is really no limit on how the logo is supposed to look. Though holybork and the Disciples of Bork indicate some holiness/religious/cult background, this does not have to be present in the layout and/or logo. But it doesn’t hurt if it does either.
I kinda like the medieval theme Ross is working on, but a futuristic one could work just as well, or a mixed. Or an angelic… or whatever. I think it’s time to start a brainstorm session.

I’m working on a new comic but it has kinda been put on hold. I really need to get some applications out and for that I’m making an oldschool superhero comic knockoff, to prove that I’m full of ideas and fucking crazy.
I’ll give a logo a try, just promise me that whatever you go for, Johan, don’t make it mideval. Please.

I’m not going to take the final say in any decision here really, I would like to work it out with everybody, or at least the staff everybody. I still like the idea of several logos depending on the style, but if we’re going to settle for one single logo, there is gonna be some voting to do.
We need some different ones to choose from first though.

I say it should. Doesn’t have to be directly chef-related though. Actually, I think the best thing to do would be to incorporate a chicken somewhere in the logo—the brilliant part of that would be that it would not only symbolize The Chef, but it would also remind us of the best tactic to use when gaming!
