I fucking love the Corsair! (any chance of one with the wings folded?)
Ok, some ideas for how to get your work published.
First off, I’d say approach an existing publisher of technical aviation drawings. You have a MASSIVE portfolio, so there shouldn’t be much problem with doing some freelance drawing for established publishers. Don’t think small. Think big.
Second idea, sell your drawings as skins for modelers for flight simulators. I’m thinking specifically here of X-Plane. There are tonnes of modelers out there who need a decent skin for their plane. Check out X-Plane.org and put some samples on the forums. Make connections. Partner with an established modeler. Go to Austin (he makes X-Plane!) and ask if you can help him out by remodeling the bundled planes with new, fancy skins.
Third idea, publish your own book. A massive undertaking I know, but if you do consider this path, I’d love to help you out with the copy. I used to be a complete airplane geek, so I know all about designations (for example, I’ve known since I was 8 that the A-10 Warthog’s 30mm cannon - designated GAU-8A - can fire over 10,000 rounds per minute in its faster firing mode). I’m sure other members of Holy Bork could help you out too!
