Agreed, I had both Sixth Sense and Fight Club spoiled for me before I even saw them. I’ll never know if I’d picked up on the twists. I was determined to avoid that with Harry Potter as I narrowly missed the 6th book spoiler rage.

Well, Entertainment Weekly came in the mail today with a 30+ page dedication to Harry Potter, complete with spoilers and staff reactions. I found it interesting that they labeled Harry Potter as the biggest pop culture phenomena we’ll probably see in our lives as the Harry Potter movies should easily end up making more money than the Star Wars series and the books are the best selling pieces of fiction, only next to the Bible. I’ve read other stories from major publications citing how historic this event is as they’ll out last her for generations to come to enjoy. Seems about as epic as the story contained the books themselves.

I fear the mounds of crappy fan fiction that will accumulate now…

The slash fiction has been around for ages and has been accumulating for a long time. I dont know any websites off the top of my head, but im sure a google search for “Harry Potter Fanfic”, “HP Slash”, etc, will bring you to lots of pages.

http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com/

over 42,000 pieces of fiction!

——-Spoiler——-
I was listening to mugglecast and they were saying that they hoped that the death of one of the twins would spell an end to all the “twincest” fanfic. I think it’s hilarious that this is common enough that it warrants a slang nickname.
NOTE: these are not spoilers, just insane bits of fanfic.

As written by Hermione, regarding how she had a child with Draco:

“Naturally, when my parents heard that a fellow student had raped me, my father immediately wanted to kill him. But when I explained the situation to him, he completely understood.”

Roughly 30 seconds of browsing unearthed that gem. Read the entire piece here.

I was talking about this with a coworker. His immediate response was that “people are fucking broken”.

Sweet Jumping H James Craig Christ…. I don’t think Jep could have found truer words.

Incest stories with the twins? My soul hurts… Also the banners are just bizarre, its like Orlando Bloom? WTF? These are the same people who populate SecondLife

Haha, don’t be so quick to jump on the anti-SecondLife bandwagon. Last I heard, Raws and Ebbe play now and then. Though, I get your point.

No, it really is like that. We just play to, uh, further our research on… the social spectrum. And stuff.

Y’know I starred a the banners again and the “Meet my baby brother. He’s your son. He doesn’t know its his.” Cracks me up, just imaging the fat girl writing about Draco fucking Heromine then hiding their bastard lovechild just strikes me as funny.

But the worst part is that it’s probably some three-foot-tall 12-year-old girl who wears Harry Potter glasses and wears her invisibility cloak while writing story ideas in Tom Riddle’s journal.

So horrible.
