Now playing (mostly):

Star Ocean: The Last Hope (Xbox 360) - realtime combat makes JRPGs feel less like JRPGs… but it’s fun as heck so far

Sacred 2 (Xbox 360 and PS3) - yes, we play both versions. After getting some friends sold on the game, they bought us the 360 version so we can play online coop. Like yellow said, the controls are weird, but once you get into them, this is the most fun hack’n'slash RPG I’ve played on consoles. Fun fact: The PS3 version is actually the more polished of the two. Doesn’t happen very often.

Wipeout HD Fury (PS3) - best valued DLC ever. It almost adds more to the game than the original release.

Final Fantasy IV (DS) - I just love these DS remakes… don’t ask me why.

Soul Calibur IV (PS3) - Got it cheap, love it more than I had expected to. Character creation rocks. I just need to unlock Shura’s combat style so I can create something less aimed at drooling teens to play.

Secret of Monkey Island (iPod Touch/360 Arcade) - I bought both versions of the remake, but can’t decide which one to play… I would prefer to own my own iPhone so I could play it on that.

WoW (Mac) - not playing it extensively right now, but the new content patch seems rather nice.

Prince of Persia (Xbox 360) - still haven’t beaten it, what with all other great games to play cooperatively and such…

Do not hide behind your black highlighter, Ebbe, for I too play Sims 3 and am not ashamed.  Live freely, brother!

Maybe you can check into a Sims 3 support group.

Beat PoP and replaced it with Devil May Cry 4 (PS3). In our Halo playthrough Lovisa and me finally made it to Halo 3 as well. Beating it in time for ODST should not be an issue smile Also got Sacred Gold to work in CrossOver with the release of CrossOver Games 8.0, so I might spend some time with that as well. Should also start playing Stubbs the Zombie on the Mac as soon as my copy drops onto the floor.

I am punching my way through Arkham Asylum right now and it rules so much. Combat is perhaps a tad simplistic when fighting just a couple of dudes, but when you’re up against 15 dudes and a boss you don’t really need more depth. They do a good job of giving you gadgets over time, which also gradually opens up for the gathering of secrets and solving Riddler’s riddles.

And as a DC nerd it’s always fun to fight the best gallery of villains in comics.

Recommended.

Right now Dragon Age for Xbox 360 is about the only thing I play when I have a choice.

Besides that, there’s some other titles that I would consider myself playing every now and then if I would break free of the darkspawn threat, or when not home or when Lovisa plays Dragon Age:

Forza Motorsport 3 (Xbox 360)
Sid meier’s Pirates! (PSP)
Final Fantasy IV (DS)
Final Fantasy VII (PSX on PSP)
PixelJunk: Monsters (PSP)
WoW (Mac)

WoW because I’m a huge fag.

Need to get back and finish Ocarina of Time, though.

I play only WoW right now, because it’s the only thing I can hop on, do something for a little while and then get back to work without rebooting into Windows. Plus in the evenings, the cool people from the IRC crowd are there to play with.

I guess I should buy a console or whatever. I pretty much really want to play Forza 3.

Now that I’m almost done with a second playthrough of Dragon Age, I have started playing some other games a bit more steadily on the side. I also stopped playing WoW, believe it or not. Too many other games to play wink

Dragon Age: Origins (360)
Torchlight (Mac via Crossover Games) <- everybody with even the slightest interest in diablo-like games should play this.
LittleBigPlanet PSP
fl0w PSP
FFVII (PSX on PSP)
FFIV (DS)
