I might have to take you up on that on the controller, since there’s no regional coding or anything in those… which makes the 6 months delay for the US release and the additional 3 months wait for Europe even more strange… Japan imports have worked since day one, since Sony even implemented the DualShock code in the software updates for all regions at the Japanese controller launch. When I can get two controllers from Oregon for the same price as one in Europe, I’m all up for ignoring warranties and everything since I have yet to have a controller break beyond use for any console… plus if it breaks I can afford a new one and still come away cheaper than here
They charge via USB too, so there’s really 0 compatibility issues or localizations.
I’ve just been waiting for it to be released in Europe so I can get one bundled with the console (that has both regional coding and regional warranty worth buying it here for… because, let’s face it, I break gadgets). I refuse to pay for a single Sixaxis controller since I deem them a mistake that should never have been released to start with.
