What is Bork? Well. That is a pretty tricky question. Bork is everything, he watches over our every step at the same time as he is the ground we step on. But Bork is also a word that can be used when all other words fail.
The whole Bork thing started not too long after I first joined the IMG Forums and #IMG. Since I was from Sweden, I got the question what Bork really means. Since the Swedish Chef keeps on saying it, it has to be Swedish, right? Wrong. But since this turned some people into depression, I started to use the word anyway, as a fill in where other words could have done just as well. This caught on very quicly, and soon the first plague of Bork was over us. Bork was everywhere and used by everybody.
Unfortunately, this died out after a while, and we were only a few followers of the word Bork left.
The second coming came when we invented the game “Hogball” in Halo, and it was time to create a team. The Scandinavian Hogborkers became one of the two major teams, and once again Bork came into fashion.
Unfortunately, Hogball to the evil Idle, and did not get played as much as was soon not forgotten, but more like forsaken.
Now we start the third wave of Bork. With the Disciples of Bork, a name first planned to become a WoW clan but that now grown into something much bigger. A community for gamers that focus more on fun and madness than the actual games themselves.
We hope that the third wave of Bork is here to stay. At least we will do out best to keep it that way.
