This is the new thread dedicated to our weekly live games, since the old one in IMG is so outdated.

First, if you don’t know what this is, here’s a quick rundown:

For over the past year we have had weekly online games on Xbox Live. These games take place on Fridays, and occasionally on Thursdays. The point? We’re a close-nitched bunch and we meet on Live to play and just have fun. The atmosphere is light hearted, and you won’t find a better bunch of people to play games on Live. After each game, the players send me their MVP votes, and at the end of a “Live Cycle” I tally the votes and the person with the highest count gets a free game shipped to them of their choice.

If you haven’t seen what’s happened lately, here’s what up:

We now have a clan website: Click Here

If you wish to join our clan, petition on the website and I’ll let you in. We’ll then add your gamertag to our friends list so we can send you an invitation to join the clan (you must accept through an online game such as Halo 2). We post all of the latest news concerning the games there, so check on it weekly for new happpenings. We also have a forum there used for talk amongst the clan members.

Our group has grown quite large, over twenty people. More are hopefully on the way (Johan), so the future looks bright.

The next Live game is this Friday. News about the time of startup will be posted on the clan site tomorrow, as well as in this thread.

For a list of gamertags, go to the site and click on “Members”.

How do I join this bastard? My bro joined a clan of his GameCrazy butt buddies err fellow employees so I don’t know if I can join. :/

You can be in more than one clan.

Go to the clan site, and click on Members. It should say somewhere about joining the clan. Petition to join and I’ll let you in.

One thing that Zack did not mention is that even though you can be in more than one clan on bungie.net, you can’t when you’re on Live.

To clear up a few things, clans on Xbox Live are totally separate for each game and only one can be joined per title. So far we have two clans going, one in Halo 2 and another in Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow, though the first one is by far the one most used. I am considering weather we should remake both (and add a third for Ghost Recon 2) in the image of Bork, what do you think? If nothing else it’ll be a much funnier name!

I think we also should decide weather to use the Bungie.net forums or just stick to this one in the future. Personally I’m leaning towards this one, Bungie.net has some serious performance problems with Safari (which I imagine most of us are using) and no one will mind if we fill this forum with console related topics anyway.

Ok, I have signed up on your fancy new forum. I hope that everyone starts posting here because we are going to have to look in too many places now with basically three forums.

Okay, my brother joined a Halo 2 clan with our shared XBL subscription, therefore I cannot join the IMG Halo 2 clan on XBL. Correct?

There’s nothing preventing you from just playing with and adding us to your friends-list though. You just won’t be able to play in any clan matches should we (unlikely as it may seem) ever decide to pursue that…

I created a clan/team in Ghost Recon 2 toda and it is called Bork. I sent invites out to the few of you which I believe has the game, my apologies to whomever I forgot.

Is Ghost Recon 2 good? I am debating about buying it.

Hey, saw the announcement on the bungie.net site so I figured I’d stop by.  I played a little with Zos yesterday, although we routinely got shalacked.  I might be able to play tomorrow afternoon after 4pm (EST).  Oh yea, since everything I could think of was taken for a live gamertag, my tag is LousyGrundle.

I’d rather just stick with IMG as our clan name. I’m not to big on naming our clan Bork, and “IMG” makes it a little more mysterious.

As for the forums, how bout we use the bungie.net forums for point posting (how’s that goin Zack?) and setting up upcoming games. We could use this one for general discussion of XBL games and recruiting teh n00bZ.

BTW Magnus, it should be “whether” not “weather”. “Weather” is only used when you’re talking about the actual weather outside.

P.S. Zack, Galen, Steve: I would like us to get together on the chat sometime around 10 p.m. central tomorrow night to discuss some stuff.

I hope this isn’t about those pictures I sent you, it was a one time thing, I was drunk, and I think the restraining order is a little unfair. This is how I express my love.

I like it.

The campaign is a little short, but there are plenty of options to give the game some replay.  Plus, some of the missions are a blast to replay.  The new LoneWolf gun is awesome too (the built in camera and being able to call in airstrikes).

I’m pretty sure if you enjoyed the first GhR, you will like this.
