[quote author=“gorilla”]And obsess about collecting Mt Dew bottle caps.  At least, as of this morning.

Bastard. We have neither free 360s nor Mountain Dew over here…

So yesterday I went water skiing. I had the option of either skis or a wakeboard, but I went with the skis as that’s what I usualy use on snow. It turns out it was pretty darn easy, just hang in there and keep your balance and the fun will last forever…

Or so I thought, until I managed to get the cord snagged around my right leg, which is about the stupidest thing you can do. The results speak for themselves:

DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!

Nevertheless, I was quite happy with the day. I’m definitely gonna try it again, and I’ll try to convince my dad investing in a powerboat is worthwhile.

I don’t hope that happened in salt water.

Nice wound, Skip. I’m not entirely sure how you managed that, but certainly I’ve made plenty of newbie mistakes in my recreational persuits. That looks like it’ll heal nicely. I’m glad you’re enjoying watersports.

With regards to a boat, don’t get suckered into thinking you need to spend $20,000 on a nice pretty ski boat. My tow boat is a ‘79 Glastron worth maybe $3500. Any old boat can go the 17 MPH needed for wakeboarding.

I hiked this mountain today, but no photos due to some sort of camera malfunction.

I’m still waiting for my confirmation e-mail.  A 72-hour wait period for that e-mail is a fucking lifetime.  Especially when you’re sitting, filtering-through family video footage for the annual DVD…  ugh.

Skip: that fucking sucks.  At least you’ve got plenty of liquid therapy to help you through that.

*Sigh*

I miss summer already… But I suppose there’s no use fighting it—we may as well embrace it.

I’d be bragging if I did that.

Rock climbing must be the most boring activity in the world.

Terrifying…

The only way I would go up a rock face would be to escape a pack of wolves… even then, I’d be in two minds about it…
